Endorsed by Governor Chris Sununu

Today, our campaign was endorsed by Governor Chris Sununu. Governor Sununu had this to say about Cody Belanger:

“With a commitment to Epping that is second to none, Cody Belanger will serve the citizens well as a State Representative. As a Selectman, Cody has proven he delivers results, not rhetoric. His passion for improving the quality of life for struggling youth is evident through his advocacy and participation in the State Advisory Group on Juvenile Justice. Cody Belanger will guarantee that Epping’s voice is heard in Concord, and I look forward to working with him.”

Cody Belanger released the following statement:

“I am honored to have the support and endorsement of Governor Sununu! Governor Sununu knows I will fight for Epping and the children of our great state. It's time Epping has a loud, effective voice in Concord. Thank you Governor Sununu for your endorsement, and most importantly your support in this election.

Now, more than every we need to fight and stand up for small businesses, Epping residents and the vulnerable youth in our state. Governor Sununu knows that I will deliver, and deliver I will. I look forward to hitting the ground running on Nov. 4th.”

Cody Belanger has served since March 2018 as the youngest member of the Board of Selectmen in Epping history. Cody is a small business owner, having started his business in November of last year. He is attending Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s in business administration & marketing. Cody lives in Epping with his wife Emily, their nephew Corey, and three dogs, Cooper, Brady, & Madden.

Campaigning in the time of COVID-19

In his next bid for State Representative, Cody Belanger, R-Epping, will look at virtually everything virtual in order to connect with voters. But he won’t ignore tried-and-true, small-town New Hampshire venues. For example, he said, “Standing at the dump will still be effective.”

Belanger, an Epping selectman and state rep hopeful, took a survey of his possible constituents to determine how campaigning will look after (or during) COVID 19. The results and his own experience showed him a different way to connect with voters, while still observing classic New Hampshire traditions.

Really New Hampshire Democrats?

To the Editor:

Round and round we go, the NH House Democrats are already lining up to take individual freedoms. They are looking to tax you in any way they can and make you pay for things that shouldn’t be left up to the working class to pay for. Already Democrats have voted for red flag laws. We continue to have this conversation that red flag laws protect individuals, but what Democrats can’t seem to get through their thick skulls, is that red flag laws only affect the law-abiding citizen.

Enough is enough, it is time we start thinking about 2020. I’m running for State Representative because I look forward to making a difference, and protecting individual liberty. I am tired of watching lawmakers infringe on personal liberty, and the rights of individuals by voting for unconstitutional changes, and I’m tired of having to worry about which tax is going to try to get passed this session.

Let’s get one thing straight an attempt to instill red flag laws is a direct attack on our constitutional rights. There is a reason why the 2nd amendment is so heavily protected: not only to stand on its own but to protect your other constitutional rights, which are also under attack but this Democrat-controlled legislature.

Let’s focus on getting New Hampshire back on track, and keep Democrats from encroaching on our paychecks and personal liberties.
